Corporate Success Group Golf Day – A Big Success
23 October 2008

A large field took to the course for this years Corporate Success Group’s Public Sector Charity Golf day last Friday at the Virginia Golf Club with all proceeds again going to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital Research Foundation.

Our winners this year were Bob Lorenz, Ross Maclean, Brian Stevens and Brent Baker from Qld Rail. The lads are now owners of very attractive golf bags.

Ms Nina Mullins was on hand from the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital Research Foundation to present the winning trophy to Bob, Ross, Brian and Brent.

Our Managing Director Rex Klein, congratulated all players for their participation and thanked each and everyone for supporting the day and the wonderful cause that is the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital Research Foundation.  Rex also thanked the contributing sponsors from:
-         Dept of Public Works & Dept of Housing Staff Assn
-         Qld Health Social Club
-         DPI Social Golf Club
-         Royal Brisbane & Women’s Oral Health Services
-         Port of Brisbane Corporation Social Club
-         BSA Social Club
-         Office of State Revenue Social Club
-         Public Trust Social Club

These organisations assist with fund raising prior to the event either by selling raffle tickets or making a donation to the day.

A big thank you was also extended to our special sponsors, Queenslanders Credit Union and the QPSU. We are very grateful for their generous support of this very worthwhile clarity golf day.

Honest Rex the Bookie was on hand again to tempt the players and he was very pleased with his ‘haul’ – ‘You know it’s a good year when you can beat ‘sugar’ on the punt,’ he said, referring to the wylie John Lutterall who has collected for each of his last three visits.

Once again we congratulate all who participated and we hope you enjoyed the day. Please feel free to provide us with your feedback and suggestions.

We look forward to seeing you all next year.
